 alienated not only by the big haired mainstream crap by also by the thrash metal scene. I've heard stories of Trouble opening up for Slayer and being drowned out by kids screaming "SLAYERRRR!!". You have to give bands like Vitus for sticking it out through a time when they had a MUCH smaller aud
